There is a concept of Main Site and Sub site in our Business process.
I have a main site for which there will be Sub sites. Here the Main Site will act as company code.
Release strategy is configured in such a combination of Purchasing organization and Document type. Both the Sub sites site master is maintained and Main site site master is not configured.
while going for the creation of PO if i give the sub site the PO can be created whereas if i give the main site the PO is not getting created and throws an error to enter plant. By the error message its known that site master for the main site is missing because of which its throwing such an error.
Now my doubt is when the release strategy is working only with the combination of Purchasing organization and Document type why is it dependent on the company code i.e the main site.
for example 1000 is the main site, 1001 and 1002 are the sub-sites.
1001 and 1002 have the site master data, where as 1000 doesnt have a site master data.
while creating a PO against the company code 1000, Po getting created for 1001 and 1002.
where as for PO against 1000, PO is not getting created for 1000 and throwing the error enter plant.
Please help.
